            Baseball Recap: Monticello Billies vs. Watson Chapel Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Monticello's game  last Saturday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Tuesday. They never let the Watson Chapel Wildcats get on the board and left with  a   9-0  victory. The  win continues a trend for the Billies in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won eight in a row.

 Hudson Harvey made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. He also  tossed a  walk, which is notable because Monticello is 2-1 when he allows at  most  two  walks, but 4-7 otherwise. Harvey was also solid in the batter's box,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with one  double and one  RBI.
 In other pitching news,  Bo Hammock looked comfortable as he  pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has become a key player for Monticello: the team is 3-1 when he allows at  most  one  earned run, but 3-7 otherwise.
 Back at the plate,  Blaine Hayden was  excellent,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.  TK Hoover was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases.
Monticello's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Watson Chapel, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 4-5.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monticello will face off against Rison at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Watson Chapel,  a feisty cat fight will be fought as Watson Chapel Wildcats  take on  Hamburg Lions at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
