Basketball Recap: Greenville Falls Despite Big Games from Ariel West and Gracyn Hill

After flying high against Puxico last Thursday, Greenville came back down to earth. The Greenville Bears lost to the Bloomfield Wildcats on the road by a 49-33 margin on Monday. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Greenville's loss came despite strong showings from Gracyn Hill and Ariel West. Hill dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards, while West posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, Greenville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive games.

Greenville's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Bloomfield, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
