Basketball Game Preview: Wapato Wolves vs. Grandview Greyhounds

The Wapato Wolves and the Grandview Greyhounds will meet in a canine-themed contest at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wapato has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 184 points over their last three contests.

Last Tuesday, Wapato was able to grind out a solid win over Royal, taking the game 69-56.

Meanwhile, Grandview fought the good fight in their overtime game against Southridge on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Suns by a score of 55-52. While the Greyhounds didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Suns 19-7 in the first quarter.

Wapato pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Grandview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Wapato strolled past Grandview in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 63-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wapato since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
