Volleyball Recap: Freeman Beats Southern for Their Sixth Straight Win

Freeman entered their tilt with Southern on Thursday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 2-0. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Freeman took both sets by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-14.

Reagan Rinne paced Freeman's offense, picking up seven kills. Rinne got some help from Aniston Bartunek and her 20 assists. Rinne was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Freeman's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Southern, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.

Freeman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Palmyra on the 2nd. As for Southern, they will welcome Fairbury at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
