Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Academy Tigers vs. Leesville Road Pride

The Trinity Academy Tigers will take on the Leesville Road Pride in a holiday battle at at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Trinity Academy is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Sanderson just ended the team's three-game winning streak last Thursday. The matchup between them and the Spartans didn't end well, with Trinity Academy falling 65-50. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Leesville Road has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-50 heartbreaker at the hands of Jordan. The matchup was a 26-26 toss-up at halftime, but the Pride couldn't quite close it out.

Leesville Road's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Trinity Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Trinity Academy ended up a good deal behind Leesville Road in their previous meeting back in December of 2018, losing 82-63. Can Trinity Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
