Baseball Recap: The Colony Wins Going Away Against Creekview

The Colony had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Creekview on Friday. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Mustangs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 last Tuesday.

Cole Richeson looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sean Keenen, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Riley Stewart was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The Colony's record now sits at 14-7. As for Creekview, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-9.

Looking ahead, The Colony will take on Lone Star at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Creekview, they will face off against Hillcrest at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
