Basketball Recap: Johnsburg Finds Home Court Redemption Against Plano

There's no place like home for Johnsburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the Plano Reapers by a score of 46-39 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Skyhawks: when they faced off against the Reapers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 45-42 loss.

Despite the loss, Plano still got an impressive performance from Josie Larson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sanai Young, who posted eight points and three steals.

Johnsburg's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Plano, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnsburg will head out to challenge Woodstock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Plano, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Genoa-Kingston at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Plano is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.
