Volleyball Recap: Elk Grove Takes a Loss

Elk Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rolling Meadows Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in September.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Rolling Meadows scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18.

Elk Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Rolling Meadows, their win bumped their record up to 17-18.

Looking ahead, Elk Grove will head out on the road to challenge Streamwood at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Rolling Meadows does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
