Softball Recap: Lake Comes Up Short

After flying high against Scott Central on Thursday, Lake came back down to earth. The Hornets took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Lauderdale Knights on Friday. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Lake's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for West Lauderdale, their victory bumped their record up to 16-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Knights beat Lake by a score of 7-2 later that day.
