Basketball Recap: Glenwood Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Glenwood duked it out withGreen on Tuesday. The Glenwood Tigers were dealt an 82-53 loss at the hands of the Green Bobcats. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Glenwood's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lamarcus Parker, who posted 14 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Parker has been hot, having also posted four or more steals the last six times he's played. Wyatt McNeil was another key player, putting up 14 points and four steals.

Glenwood's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Green, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.

While Glenwood had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
