Basketball Game Preview: Havelock Rams vs. D.H. Conley Vikings

Havelock hasn't had much luck against D.H. Conley recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Havelock Rams just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the D.H. Conley Vikings at 6:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Havelock was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 38-37 to J.H. Rose. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, D.H. Conley strolled past Northside - Jacksonville with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 41-23. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Havelock better keep an eye on Britni Silver. She was instrumental in D.H. Conley's win, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards. Silver has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Charlazha Wilson, who posted 13 points and three steals.

D.H. Conley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

D.H. Conley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Havelock, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
