Baseball Game Preview: Novi Wildcats vs. Plymouth Wildcats

For the second straight game, Novi will face off against Plymouth. Novi will venture away from home to square off against Plymouth at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Novi's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Plymouth's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Plymouth hit Novi with a five-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. Novi took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Plymouth. Novi's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

For Plymouth's part, they got a great performance from Brady Tegen as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Tegen has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Nick Riebschleger was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Logan Pheiffer was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Plymouth's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14. As for Novi, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
