Chenango Valley got themselves on the board against Chenango Forks on Tuesday, but Chenango Forks never followed suit. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Blue Devils 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Blue Devils back in March, they had to take a 6-3 loss.

Not much got past Natalie Tyler, who gave up just five hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Chenango Forks off the board. Tyler has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Chenango Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amelia Paske, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. That double was Paske's first of the season.

Chenango Valley's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Chenango Forks, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Chenango Valley will host Seton Catholic Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chenango Forks, they will square off against Waverly at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Devils will need to watch out since the Wolverines have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
