Football Game Preview: Barker/Royalton-Hartland Bulls vs. Kennedy Bears

The Barker/Royalton-Hartland Bulls will head out on the road to challenge the Kennedy Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Barker/Royalton-Hartland will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Barker/Royalton-Hartland gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against York/Pavilion by a score of 30-23.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Barker/Royalton-Hartland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Vincenzo Fazzio, who picked up 79 receiving yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 35 yards. Another passer making a difference was Tysen McCaa, who threw for 153 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Barker/Royalton-Hartland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 203 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 203 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

Barker/Royalton-Hartland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Carter DeSarkissian and Fazzio. Fazzio got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Kennedy, as they earned their first away win of the season. They walked away with a 28-20 victory over Tonawanda on Friday. The score was all tied up 6-6 at the break, but the Bears were the better team in the second half.

Kennedy's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Barker/Royalton-Hartland, their record now sits at 4-1.
