Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Cypress Woods couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the North Forney Falcons by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Caroline Walden paced Cypress Woods' offense, picking up 34 kills. Walden got some help from Kaylee Peterson and her 33 assists. Peterson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kennedy Reddin, each putting up two.

Cypress Woods' defeat dropped their record down to 36-8. As for North Forney, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-11 record this season.

Cypress Woods does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Forney, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Tomball on the 11th.
