Soccer Recap: Saint Francis Takes a Loss

Saint Francis was the 2-0 winner over Bellarmine College Prep when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Saint Francis Lancers came up short against the Bellarmine College Prep Bells on Saturday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 414th, while the Bells are ranked 47th).

Saint Francis has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Bellarmine College Prep, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1-1.

Saint Francis will be playing at home against Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bellarmine College Prep, they will venture away from home to take on Junipero Serra at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Bellarmine College Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.
