Lovejoy hasn't lost a match since January 2nd, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the McKinney North Bulldogs. Given the Leopards' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 99th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lovejoy's win bumped their record up to 15-1. As for McKinney North, they moved to 10-6 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Lovejoy will be playing at home against Melissa at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McKinney North, they will venture away from home to challenge Walnut Grove at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
