Softball Recap: Topsail's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Topsail ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lumberton, sneaking past 2-1. Winning may never get old, but Topsail sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Addison Ash tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

At the plate, Lauren Clinch was excellent, going 2-for-5 with one home run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.

Topsail now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Lumberton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Topsail has already played their next game, a 9-0 win against North Brunswick on the 10th. As for Lumberton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 22-0 victory against Douglas Byrd on the 10th.
