Basketball Game Preview: Hawley Bearcats vs. Albany Lions

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Hawley Bearcats take on the Albany Lions at 6:15 p.m. on Friday... Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, it was close, but Hawley sidestepped Anson for a 67-65 victory.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Albany, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They snuck past Anson with a 47-43 win on Tuesday.

Hawley's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-11. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Albany, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Hawley strolled past Albany in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 65-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hawley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
