Basketball Recap: South Bend Career Academy Takes a Loss

South Bend Career Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 49-27 to the Tri-County Cavaliers. The match marked the Trailblazers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Tri-County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trey Foster, who posted nine points. Those nine points gave Foster a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Schneider, who put up seven points and six rebounds.

South Bend Career Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Tri-County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season.

South Bend Career Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Westville at 6:30 p.m. on January 13th. After both having extra time off, Tri-County and DeMotte Christian will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on January 10th.
