Soccer Game Preview: Westport vs. Seekonk

Westport has gone a perfect 3-0 against Seekonk recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home pitch against the Warriors at 3:30 p.m. Westport's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Seekonk's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Thursday, Westport was able to grind out a solid win over Atlantis, taking the game 3-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Westport's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while Atlantis are ranked 162nd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seekonk). They had just enough and edged out West Bridgewater 2-1 on Monday.

Westport's victory bumped their record up to 9-0-1. As for Seekonk, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-7-1.

Westport came out on top in a nail-biter against Seekonk when the teams last played two weeks ago, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
