Football Recap: Redbank Valley Falls Despite Big Games from Jaxon Huffman and Braylon Wagner + How To Watch

Redbank Valley was the 31-13 winner over Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell 26-22 to Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley on Thursday.

Despite the loss, Redbank Valley had strong showings from Braylon Wagner, who threw for 320 yards and three touchdowns, and Jaxon Huffman, who picked up 144 receiving yards and one score. Wagner is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. A healthy portion of Wagner's aerial production (97 yards to be exact) also went to Jace Clowser.

Redbank Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Carson Gould and Easton Magagnotti.

Max Gallagher had an outrageously good game for Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley as he rushed for 150 yards and three TDs. Another player making a difference was Parker Bish, who gained 101 total yards and a touchdown.

Redbank Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Redbank Valley will head out to take on Brockway at 7:30 p.m. on the 5th. As for Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 15-14 win against Keystone on the 4th.
