Softball Recap: Patterson Mill vs. Harford Tech Cobras

Patterson Mill put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Harford Tech Cobras a 10-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but Patterson Mill sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Not much got past Amanda Redmiles, who gave up just one hit and racked up seven Ks to keep Harford Tech off the board. Redmiles has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Patterson Mill got a massive performance out of Ava Ward, who went 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie Knight, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Patterson Mill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. As for Harford Tech, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-14.

Patterson Mill will head out on the road to face off against Westminster at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Patterson Mill's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Westminster's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
