Preview: Marbury Bulldogs vs. Sylacauga Aggies
The Marbury Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Sylacauga Aggies at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Marbury will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
Marbury only won by two when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 23-point they dealt Elmore County on Thursday. Marbury put the hurt on Elmore County with a sharp 61-38 win. With that win, Marbury brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
Marbury got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was DJ Graham out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Graham hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Driver, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Sylacauga and Central of Clay County squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but sadly Sylacauga had to settle for second. They took a 56-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Volunteers. Sylacauga has not had much luck with Central of Clay County recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Marbury has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-12 record this season. As for Sylacauga, their loss dropped their record down to 17-14.
