Softball Recap: East Buchanan Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous five meetings between East Buchanan and Springville, and Springville kept the tradition alive. The Buccaneers fell 9-5 to the Orioles on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Orioles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 on Monday.

East Buchanan dropped their record down to 5-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Springville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-7.

East Buchanan wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-0 loss against Alburnett on the 10th. As for Springville, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-1 defeat against North Linn on the 10th.
