Manchester hasn't had much luck against Cosby recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lancers will head out on the road to square off against the Titans at 5:00 p.m. Manchester is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

While Manchester's win against Monacan wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lancers won by a run and slipped past the Chiefs 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lancers have posted since May 16, 2024.

Cam Winiarski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Cosby fell victim to Midlothian and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Manchester's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Cosby, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Manchester has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Cosby struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Manchester might still be hurting after the 14-4 defeat they got from Cosby in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Lancers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
