Hickory Ridge had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Myers Park Mustangs on Tuesday as they made off with a 10-1 win. The Ragin' Bulls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.
Hickory Ridge got a massive performance out of Hailey Faulkenberry, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three RBI gave Faulkenberry a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Katherine Rhyne, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
Hickory Ridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Myers Park only posted a batting average of .000.
Hickory Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Myers Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-11.
Coming up, Hickory Ridge will square off against Providence on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Ragin' Bulls 3, the Panthers 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Myers Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
