Volleyball Recap: Poway Falls Short of Patrick Henry in the Playoffs + How To Watch

Poway and Patrick Henry squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Poway had to settle for second. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Titans haven't been shut out since back in September.

Poway was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-20, 25-21.

Despite the defeat, Poway had strong showings from Ella Bear, who had four digs and two aces, and Abby Kroepel, who had 16 digs. Bear is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last 15 games she's played.

Poway is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-20. As for Patrick Henry, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-13 record this season.

Poway does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Patrick Henry, they will take on La Jolla at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Vikings have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
