Basketball Recap: North Phoenix Preparatory Academy Makes It Six in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for North Phoenix Preparatory Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Anthem Prep Eagles by a score of 33-21 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 28-20 back in December of 2024.

North Phoenix Preparatory Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexandra Price, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 18 boards. Those 18 rebounds gave Price a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ellaina Wakeham, who posted seven points in addition to ten boards and four blocks.

North Phoenix Preparatory Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

North Phoenix Preparatory Academy's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.7 points per game. As for Anthem Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

As of now, neither North Phoenix Preparatory Academy nor Anthem Prep have any future games scheduled.
