Basketball Recap: Warrenton Comes Up Short

Warrenton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They took a 55-36 bruising from the Neah-Kah-Nie Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Pirates are ranked 98th).

Warrenton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Neah-Kah-Nie, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.

Warrenton has already played their next match, a 72-38 loss against Corbett on the 8th. As for Neah-Kah-Nie, they will venture away from home to take on Riverdale at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neah-Kah-Nie is facing Riverdale at the right time seeing as Riverdale is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
