Basketball Game Recap: Clinton-Massie Falcons vs. Western Brown Broncos

Western Brown came into Friday's match looking for another win against Clinton-Massie, but Baron Phipps wouldn't allow it. The Clinton-Massie Falcons came out on top against the Western Brown Broncos by a score of 58-50 on Friday thanks in part to Phipps, who went 6 for 8 en route to 15 points along with four blocks and three steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Avden Faucett, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

Clinton-Massie's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 5-11. As for Western Brown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Clinton-Massie will face off against Clermont Northeastern at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western Brown, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 78-49 loss against Turpin on the 1st.
