Soccer Game Preview: Mitchell vs. Sand Creek

For the first time this season, Mitchell will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will take on the Sand Creek Scorpions at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for Mitchell and eight for Sand Creek.

Mitchell fell victim to Mesa Ridge and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Grizzlies. That's two games in a row now that Mitchell have lost by exactly ten goals.

Meanwhile, Sand Creek came up short against Pueblo West on Tuesday, falling 7-1.

The Scorpions' goal came courtesy of Molly Baillon, which was the first she's scored this season.

Sand Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Mitchell, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Mitchell might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Sand Creek in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Marauders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
