Baseball Game Preview: Bridgman Bees vs. Olivet Eagles

The Bridgman Bees will face off against the Olivet Eagles on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bridgman 3.4, Olivet 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Last Tuesday, Bridgman needed a bit of extra time to put away Brandywine. They won by a run and slipped past the Bobcats 5-4. Surprisingly, this marked the Bees' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Meanwhile, Olivet had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against Centreville by a score of 6-2 on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Bridgman is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Olivet, their victory bumped their record up to 19-5.
