Basketball Game Preview: Mineral Ridge Rams vs. Grand Valley Mustangs

The Mineral Ridge Rams will face off against the Grand Valley Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Thursday, Mineral Ridge came up short against Western Reserve and fell 55-44. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kaden Shaffer, who posted 14 points. Those 14 points gave him a new career-high. Blake Basista was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Meanwhile, Grand Valley's undefeated season came to an end after nine games on Tuesday. They fell to Bristol 55-50. The loss put an end to the Mustangs' undefeated start to the season.

Mineral Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Grand Valley, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.
