Recap: Shishmaref Northern Lights vs. Hogarth Kingeekuk Sr. Memorial Huskies
The Shishmaref Northern Lights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They came out on top against Hogarth Kingeekuk Sr. Memorial by a score of 71-63. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Shishmaref found their leader in underclassman Fred Olanna, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Olanna has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Hadley, who scored 13 points.
Shishmaref pushed their record up to 3-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points per game. As for Hogarth Kingeekuk Sr. Memorial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Shishmaref and Anthony Andrews will face off at 4:20 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Anthony Andrews knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Shishmaref likes a good challenge. Hogarth Kingeekuk Sr. Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
