Basketball Recap: New Trier Comes Up Short

After flying high against McHenry last Saturday, New Trier came back down to earth. The New Trier Trevians fell 66-56 to the Fremd Vikings on Tuesday.

New Trier's loss dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Fremd, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-2.

New Trier and Fremd should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. New Trier (ranked 27th) will meet Glenbrook North (ranked 144th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fremd will face off against Barrington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 51 places (16 vs. 67).
