Recap: Eastern Ramblers vs. SEED DC

The Eastern Ramblers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by SEED DC at home to the tune of 80-51. Eastern's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Eastern's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isyah Joyner, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 17 rebounds. The game was Joyner's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Rashid Faruq was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with four steals.

Defeat or not, SEED DC got some senior leadership from Dionte Garcia who scored 19 points and Wendell Allsbrook who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Garcia scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Keyori Pinckney, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.

Eastern pushed their record up to 4-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for SEED DC, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.

Eastern will play host again and welcome Coolidge, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Coolidge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Eastern likes a good challenge. SEED DC's road trip will continue as they head out to face Thurgood Marshall Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th.
