Basketball Recap: Jones Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

With a playoff win on the line, Jones rose to the challenge on Thursday. They snuck past the Holdenville Wolverines with a 33-27 win. The Longhorns have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolverines, too.

Holdenville's loss came despite strong showings from Dah'Myah Olden and Lexxi Goolsby. Olden posted 16 points in addition to five boards and three steals, while Goolsby scored four points. Olden has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Jones pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points over those games. As for Holdenville, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-10.

Jones does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Holdenville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-19 win against Crooked Oak on the 28th.
