Recap: Willow Spring Storm vs. Garner Trojans
The Willow Spring Storm's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 64-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Garner. Willow Spring has not had much luck with Garner recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the loss, Willow Spring still got an impressive performance from Brandon Solomon, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Andrew Mendzef, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Willow Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Garner, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with that win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Willow Spring won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Athens Drive at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th. Garner is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Myers Park at 3:30 p.m. on December 27th. Myers Park has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 325 points over their last five games.
