Softball Recap: Long Beach Takes a Loss

Long Beach lost against Newton County back in March of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Long Beach Bearcats might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-5 to the Newton County Cougars, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Long Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Newton County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Long Beach has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Grenada on the 11th. As for Newton County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-0 loss against South Panola on the 11th.
