Baseball Recap: Marionville Comes Up Short

The Marionville Comets lost 10-2 to the Mt. Vernon Mountaineers on Friday.

Marionville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Crumpley, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Marionville's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Mt. Vernon, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marionville will head out to take on Spokane at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mt. Vernon, they will venture away from home to challenge Lamar at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
