Softball Recap: Samuell Spartans vs. Seagoville Dragons
In what's become a running theme this season, Samuell gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Seagoville Dragons with a sharp 15-2 win. The victory was just what Samuell needed coming off of a 12-0 loss in their prior game.
Kayla Clemmons made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Clemmons was even better at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI.
In other batting news, Samuell let Jayla Jaime and Jessica Burns loose on the outfield. Jaime scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Burns went 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. Natalia Gomez B was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
