Baseball Recap: Northwest Takes a Loss

After flying high against Affton last Thursday, Northwest came back down to earth. The Lions fell 4-0 to the Lindbergh Flyers on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Flyers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 last Tuesday.

Northwest saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Benefield, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Northwest has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season. As for Lindbergh, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-11-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Northwest nor Lindbergh have any future games scheduled.
