Basketball Recap: Timothy Christian Beats Lisle for Their Third Straight Win

Timothy Christian waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They strolled past the Lisle Lions with points to spare, taking the game 52-37. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Timothy Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elisabeth Van Den Berg, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards. Van Den Berg is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last seven games she's played dating back to last season. Laney Romano also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Timothy Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Lisle, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.

Coming up, Timothy Christian will square off against St. Edward at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lisle, they will take on Wilmington at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
