Soccer Game Preview: Lake City vs. Stewartville

Lake City and Stewartville are an even 4-4-2 against one another since September of 2017, but likely not for long. Lake City will be playing in front of their home fans against Stewartville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake City's last five matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

If Lake City beats Stewartville with three goals on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Tigers had just enough and edged out Red Wing 3-2 on Monday. Lake City haven't had any issues with Red Wing recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Stewartville kept a clean sheet against Schaeffer Academy on Thursday. They blew past the Lions 4-0. Considering Stewartville have won nine matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Stewartville's win bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Lake City, they now have a winning record of 5-4-3.
