It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Huron ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 17-10 margin over the Ashland Arrows. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Huron, bringing their record up to 8-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Ashland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

Huron will head out to challenge Edison at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Chargers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
