Baseball Recap: Eastside Takes a Loss

Eastside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-6 to the Bronson Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-5 back in February.

Eastside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Rogers, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Rogers a new career-high. Christopher Chircop also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Eastside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Bronson, their record now sits at 4-10.

Looking ahead, Eastside is taking a road trip to take on Fort White at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bronson, they will welcome St. Johns Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
