Volleyball Game Preview: Edgewood Lions vs. Ganesha Giants

Edgewood is 0-10 against Ganesha since March of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. The Edgewood Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Ganesha Giants at 3:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Edgewood is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to West Covina.

Edgewood was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made West Covina work for it, especially in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-16, 24-26, 25-16, 29-27.

Meanwhile, Ganesha came up short against Western Christian on Friday, falling 3-0.

While Ganesha was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-22, 25-16.

Edgewood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ganesha, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Edgewood couldn't quite get it done against Ganesha when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can Edgewood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
