Basketball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for North Central

North Central extended their home winning streak to six games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Amree Vander Vorst. Everything went the Thunder's way against the McIntosh Tigers on Saturday as they made off with a 56-33 win for which the team can thank Vander Vorst, who almost dropped a double-double with 30 points and nine rebounds. Her afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points.

North Central's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Central and Ipswich will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McIntosh will take on Faith in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
