Wakeland put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lone Star Rangers. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Rangers are ranked 81st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Audrey Gilbert and Kennedy Clark scored both of Wakeland's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 25 goals.

Wakeland's win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-0-1. As for Lone Star, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4-2.
